Cabo Velas is easily accessible by car or by plane. It can be reached from the capital San Jose by car in about four hours and is a 45-minute drive from Liberia International Airport.

Cabo Velas has a 3,000 ft long asphalted airstrip on the property that can accommodate small planes. The Hacienda uses the service of an experienced private company who flies small executive planes from San Jose to Cabo Velas. The air travel time is approximately thirty minutes.

Cabo Velas is 20 minutes by car from the public airstrip at Tamarindo, which has regular daily flights from San Jose by SANSA, the local carrier.
